Central Ohio Urology Group has partnered with Cancer Support Community Central Ohio to support individuals impacted by cancer, their families and caregivers. This partnership supports FREE Cooking for Wellness at COUG, monthly healthy cooking and nutrition programs.

These hands-on interactive demonstrations are led by a culinary team consisting of a chef, dietitian and social worker. The classes are specially designed for prostate cancer patients and their families, and include cooking skills along with nutritional facts and tips for incorporating fresh foods and healthy eating habits into everyday routines.
Cancer treatments may result in sensitivity to certain foods, changes in taste, weight loss, fatigue and difficulty tolerating food, all of which make it challenging to maintain healthy and nutritious eating habits and diet. It’s no wonder, then, that Cancer Support Community’s Research and Training Institute has found that the number one concern of cancer patients is “eating and nutrition.”
The classes are a resource for Central Ohio Urology Group and Cancer Support Community prostate cancer patients, survivors, family members and caregivers.
Each session includes:
• A credentialed chef providing a hands-on cooking demonstration
• A registered dietitian to address nutritional values
• Unique cooking themes and healthy recipes provided each month
