In response to Tuesday, August 2, 2016 cyberattack, Central Ohio Urology Group has engaged
two expert companies — a digital forensic firm and a network security company -- to conduct a
thorough investigation, and is also actively working with federal law enforcement authorities.
Both experts have been on site since Tuesday working to determine the source and extent of the
information breach and to adjust and enhance its current security profiles.
Our patients’ health, safety and security is always our priority, and I want to personally
apologize to all of our patients for what has happened. We understand that our patients trust us to
keep their information secure. We are actively working to address this incident, and to do
everything we can to help prevent this from happening again. In doing so, we hope we will
continue to earn our patients trust and confidence that we have gained throughout our many
years of providing health care excellence.
The full investigation is expected to not be completed for several weeks. Until the investigation
has been completed Central Ohio Urology Group will not know the full scope and extent of the
