Q: What insurance carriers do you accept?
A: We accept most major insurance carriers. However, it is the patients’ responsibility to determine coverage. Prior to coming into the office check with your insurance plan to determine benefits.

Q: What do I need to bring on my first visit?
A: Current Insurance Cards A method of payment for your copay if you have insurance. A method to pay for your services in full if you have no insurance – we offer a 35% self-pay discount for payment on the date of service. New patient registration forms (Found on this site) Any progress note or labs from your referring physician.

Q: How do I obtain a refill of my prescription?
A: It is important not to miss any doses of certain medications. If you need a refill of your medication, please call your Central Ohio Urology location during regular business hours. It is best to call when you have at least 5 days of the medication remaining. If you have any uncertainty about continuing a medication that has no more refills, please call the office and we will give you proper advice.

Q: Do I need to pay for my procedure/test prior to being seen?
A: If you have insurance, co-payments are expected at the time of check in. Additional payments for elective procedures may be due before the procedure is done. We will bill the insurance carrier for the remaining balance incurred during your procedure. The patient will be responsible for what is not covered by your insurance company. If you do not have insurance, you are expected to pay for your service in full but we offer a 35% self-pay discount for payment on the date of service.

Q: What forms of payments do you take?
A: We take cash, checks and credit cards. The credit cards we accept are Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover, as well as all debit cards.

Q: How long will my first appointment take?
A: Your initial consult may take anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes, depending on the nature of your urologic concern. There is always a chance that your doctor may get called to the hospital for an emergency. If this happens and we see that you will have an extended wait, we will offer you the option to wait or reschedule.
